Do I need weights?
Any other thoughts?
I've been leaning Kubota, but local JD dealer is having this sale and I like the idea that they have two dealerships, equidistant from the house.

Doesn't sound too bad to me, since you're getting the cutter and the box blade. I do think I'd try to negotiate a bit more...maybe get your first service (including pick up and delivery) in the package.

I recently purchased a 2003 790 w/ 419 Loader for $12500. This was a used machine but only had 24 hours on it when delivered (although a nice tractor, it wasn't big enough for the original buyer who traded it for a 990).

The Imatch is a system to make it easier to hook up implements. I've never used it, so I cannot comment. I did purchase the "Pat's Easy Change" system. This works pretty good and is probably quite a bit cheaper then the IMatch. However, the "Pat's" system only works on the lower link hook ups. I believe IMatch works on the lower and upper links...

As far as front weights...that depends on what you'll use the tractor for. Since you got a rotary cutter, I reckon you'll be doing field mowing. I keep the loader on when I'm doing that kind of work so I don't use them. Same thing applies when I've got the backblade mounted. When the finishing mower is on the 3PH, I've never found any front end lightness. So, can't say I ever had need of the front weights. If you do think you need them, I'd see if the dealer would toss them in as part of the $15.5K price.

Anyway, now you have two prices to compare with.

Get the I-Match , you won't regret it. It simplifies hooking up 3 point equipment...
Didn't get mine with the tractor but ended up buying from TSC a year later.
Some of my implements were not compatible but with modification they are
now. The little gizmo can save allot of cursing...

When you say modification, does that mean that any future attachment would need to be modified?

If I were to borrow an attachment that wasn't already modified, would the changes be something that could be "undone"?

The issue is the pins need to be a certain width apart. You want to get imatch compatible implements if you want them to work with imatch. Also if you use a PHD that isn't going to work with imatch. I went with Pat's Easy Change for these reasons and it's great.

If your going with all John Deere implement, your'll already
set up for I Match. and don't need any other modification...

Also allot of the new 3 point equipment is being standardize
to fit I Match but some of the older stuff may need adjustment.

There is nothing I did to the impalements to prevent them from
being used with a regular 3 point hitch without I Match. All you'd
need to do is pull the sleeves...

Had one piece of equipment that needed welding but it'll still
work with any 3 pt hitch. My biggest problem was the top hook
so I replaced it with some flat iron with proper size holes...
