When I bought my Kubota, it came with a JD garden tractor and an E-Z-GO ST350 Workhorse, which is a 350-cc gas cart with a dump bed. It has a Subaru Robin engine.

The cart is not bad, but the company that makes it behaves like it works out of somebody's spare bedroom. Is it E-Z-GO? Is it Textron? Can't tell. The website is garbage. Lots of parts are discontinued. Some parts you can still get are cheap. Others are insanely expensive, like the $2300 dump bed.

It's like the Popeyes Chicken of cart manufacturers. Amateurish and slipshod, from one end to the other.

Sooner or later, I may want to get rid of this thing simply because of the hassle of getting parts.

Is there another company that makes similar products and also provides good customer support, like continuing to supply parts at acceptable prices?

It's an 11-HP Subaru-powered utility cart with a dump bed. I found a photo that shows it.

If you want a good product and never need any support, Honda Pioneer 1000-3 is your ticket.

The Honda looks nice, but I don't see a dump bed option. That's a deal-breaker.

Well, I'm wrong. When I tried the "build your own" feature, I didn't see a dump bed, but it's there in other pictures.

The bed is small, and it only holds 440 pounds, so that's no good. The Kubota Sidekick has a bigger bed and payload. It has 54 HP, which seems ridiculous on a farm cart. If I break 15 mph on this lumpy farm, I'll go flying.

We have a Sidekick and ours will do a bit more than stock speed. It works good for farm stuff as it has a low gear besides the go fast gear and it's part time 4 wheel drive as well... It also has a Subaru twin cam fuel injected motor. I usually have a spray rig in the bed. Ours came with receiver hitches front and rear, a winch, mudflaps, fold down windshield and roof. Never gotten it stuck yet. You can go stupid fast or go slow, your choice. I prefer slow myself. You can get then with an enclosed cab, heat and air con but not something we require. 4 wheel disc brakes too.

My Kawasaki mule has a dump bed and has never given me any problems. Parts are available at motorcycle dealers that carry the brand.

Check out a Yamaha U-Max 2. I sold my 2015 Yamaha Adventure two golf cart with dump bed and got the new Umax. It is a golf cart so just jump on and hit the gas pedal to drive, goes 19 mph and can carry 900 lbs in the dump bed. Has tall knobby tires in 2 wheel drive and does pretty good in mud.
I never had an issue with the first Yamaha cart except yr grandson crashed into a tree.
Needed front end parts and everything was easy to order.

Considering how popular EZ Go golf carts are, at least around here, they must be good though I'd never own one anyway.

The OP is in Florida so there must be many golf car shops down there. The EZGO are built by Textron as is the Cushman line. They also make the Jacobson equipment.

To be fair, EZ GO isn't a UTV company. They are a golf cart company.

You're upset that parts for your 2000(ish) golf cart arent available? Should a new bed be free because the old one only lasted 20ish years?

Get a John Deere Gator 6x4, its a beast that will hold 1,000 lbs in the bed. The 6x4 needs ballast up front or else it understeers pretty bad. I have added almost 100 lbs on mine and would like to add more.

If he's worried about parts costs, he's probably not going to be up for JD prices.

Respectfully, you don't know what you're talking about. Go compare E-Z-GO support with any other big company. They stink with newer products, too.

A company that makes UTV's is a UTV company. And as I have said, it's bush league with regard to all products.

You should go look at their site and then check John Deere's site.

It is a good cart. The company is the problem. If I want a Kubota part, I can get it fast from Ebay, a local dealer, or Messick's. Textron or Jacobsen or whatever E-Z-GO is this month is nothing like that.

And my Kubota is over 20 years old, so age is irrelevant. Kubota provides parts, not excuses.

With a fifth-rate company like this, I have to be concerned that the cart will be an orphan in a couple of years. Bed parts and engines vanished a long time ago, and things will get worse.

I will be keeping my eye out for something better. Kubota looks good.
