is there a less noisy 50-60 hp jd tractor

It’s the injectors on 5cyl engines that clatters making them so much more noisier than a 3cyl or 4cyl JD Tractor.

It’s an annoying noise but as stated their great engines.

My intention is not to start a green v orange issue. I own Deere equipment and know its excellent stuff, but I cant get over how noisy JD engines are compared to Kubota Diesel engines.
I farm a piece of property and the owner has a 50-60HP Deere utility tractor. Its so much louder than my 126 & 135HP Kubotas. He even comments same to me and he must wear hearing protection when he runs his Deere. All his employees do same. Sometimes I will be on his property farming, I will make a bunch of hay bales and he will say he cant hear my tractors from inside his house about 500 feet away. :laughing:
Another guy I know has a Deere 1445 (I think thats the model) mower with a cab with AC. He always wears hearing protection in the cab. I asked him whats up with the hearing protection and he said the Yanmar Diesel is super loud inside the cab.
Again, not a comparison, more just an observation. Theres things I like better about Deere, too

after the warranty period is up, you could put a nice quiet muffler on it. you could have a muffler shop do that. you need to have some back pressure after the muffler for it to work, so using a smaller pipe after the muffler will do that..

Current Deere tractors in this size range went back to using the prior 2.9 L three cylinder engine Deere has used since the '70s, but with common rail EFI and a DPF. They only used the 3.0 L five cylinder skid loader engine in the 5225, 5325, and early 5M series tractors. The only Deere tractors I have been around that were noticeably louder than the competition were the Johnny Poppers.
