I know there is another thread asking this same question- Is the 2320 right for me? Well, I'm a different person, under different circumstances, so I expect some different answers and suggestions.

First off, we are not sure we are going to buy. But, right now my 13 y.o self is looking for a tractor. As you can see by looking in my signature, we have 11 tractors, so another is not needed.

I would want this tractor to handle the odd jobs I throw at it. I have a tendency to pull things that look cool out of the woods. I also need it to pull a small steel drag, as well as a roller. I also need it for small projects that I would normally do with one of Pop's non-loader tractors ( building a treehouse, etc). we have 3-point implements this can handle. Main uses would be pulling, mostly non 3-point, and lifting.

We would probably have it equipped with a 200x, not cx, loader, to easily change between forks, no-teeth bucket, and toothed bucket. I would have loaded R4's all the way around. We have no need for another mower.

I appreciate and thank in advance all comments/suggestions you guys post.

Thanks, Kyle

Here are my comments:

>Get the CX loader, it's not much more money and that way you can remove/install the loader in 3 minutes.

>Get one bucket, and add a Markham Welding toothbar. It will also remove and install very easily with just two bolts. The JD's already include a QA bucket system to facilitate easy and fast changeover from the bucket to the forks.

>If your near Waldorf, go talk to Niel at Gardiners JD.

I didn't know the CX had the QA bucket. We will never take the loader itself off.

Thanks for the info on the tooth bar, I'll check it out.

We live just north in Brandywine. We have a very long history with all the Gardiners, especially Neil. It all started when my grandfather loaded/unloaded fertilizer at an old store with Harold. Don't talk with Hugh Gardiner @ Gardiner Kubota though...

Yes, it does...Being able to remove the loader is nice when you need to service the machine.

I never thought about service. We do fine with the loader on the 'bota 4900, though.

Also think about resale. What do most people want when you trade it in? That helps you move it down the line - I let dealer tell me what to get for most part.

Do yourself a huge favor, get the CX loader!!!!! I leave my loader on 75% of the time and if doing something that doesnt require the loader, I just take the bucket off and go. That takes alot of weight off the front axle, and the loader arms doesnt stick out but about a foot to foot and a half from the front of the tractor. Also, if you can get some forks, get them, you will use them all the time!! I know I do. Also, mine were built at a welding shop, and I had them install 3pt hooks also so I can use them on my 3pt as well.

Third the motion on the CX loader. It takes no time to take off.

Also, check out H&H manufacturing. There's a landscape toothbar which I have on another tractor that sure does a good job on brush and prickley pear ( I know you don't have pear). It will still dig, not like the Markham though. Too different uses these two toothbars.

Thanks, I may go to the dealer tonight. When I do, depending on how it feels, I might ask for a demo.

I t sounds like everyone likes the CX loader. That will most likely happen now.

We have forks on the referenced Kubota, we use them more than the bucke and root rake/grapple, they are a must for this possibly new tractor.

Would a 2320 be able to power a rear 72" woods finish mower? Our Ford 1620 light brush cuts with it. I don't think it could do extreme tall, wet stuff with it, but I think considering it is only 10" wider than the mid 62", and the rear PTO is more powerful, I think it could handle it. Opinions?
