is pricing negotiable at deere dealers?

I was quoted a price of $4,600 for a z445hc zero turn mower. Some dealers on tractorhouse have a different price for the same mower. Have any of you negotiated a cheaper price with the dealership on a similar mower? How much did they come down? thanks

I would think everything would be negotiable. How much if I pick up and you don't have to deliver. How much if I pay cash or if I finance? Throw in free routine service for a period of time to close the deal. Ken Sweet

Just remember that on a $4000 mower, there isn't the amount of wiggle room as on a $40,000 tractor. Be reasonable and don't ask for the moon. The margin just isn't there. The dealer you buy from needs to be your friend. You should both be happy to see each other in the future. Make your best deal, but don't make him miserable with demands. If your $4,600.00 price is actually for a Z445 with 54HC (High Capacity) Deck I would sign the paperwork immediately.

There are (3) Z445 models currently available:
Z445 w/48" Deck - MSRP $4,699.00
Z445 w/54" Deck - MSRP $4,849.00
Z445 w/54" High Capacity Deck - MSRP $5,299.00

By the time you add in Set-Up, PDI, Delivery and JD's eCrate charge - $4,600.00 is an "absolute steal" for the 54HC model, a "good deal" for the 54" model and "just under" list price for the 48" model.

Nice price on that mower, it seems at the end of the year the dealers are trying to cut inventory. I just picked up a z445 with the standard 54" deck for $4400.00. That was the price they quoted me for the machine with the 48 inch deck and I was ok with that. When he went out to get the serial number to write it up he came back in and asked "why did you want a 48" deck?" I said there were a couple places in the yard that a 54" is a little tight. The other sales guy just wrote up that tractor and he said I could have the mower with the 54" for the same price. Write it up!

Anyway, enjoy your new mower, it hasn't rained here in weeks so I can't get out and give mine a spin yet LOL

I think you are looking at collection system for the std decks. To do a bagger for the hc deck you would have to mount the blower from the 7 iron comm deck. Seems like a lot of weight for a light machine.
