Have you looked into caroni tillers. Italian chain driven unit. I think agri supply sells them. I recall reading that they make the tillers for woods.

I had a Sovema RBS 150 that I beat the snot out of and it never failed me It had an adjustable slide for offsetting. The real proof was when I was rototilling a new spot I had never done before and the tiller swallowed a 38inch tire chain and barbed wire stalled the 45hp tractor and never hurt the tiller.If you have ever been to NH you know what the ground is like up here! WE GROW ROCKS.
I don't think you can beat the KK tiller. Other than the paint being a bit "cobby" they are pretty bullet proof. There are lot's of them in service and I've never heard of any problems with them. Many TBN'ers own them and are happy with them including myself.
