The many items I patented went to market before the patents were filed. The patents kept the honest competitors honest. Mine were all hunting and shooting related products....and in a very competitive enviornment. I ended up being sued by one fellow a couple of times....and he cost me allot of money.....but he was a lunatic.
Despite the law suits and wasted time.....it only strengthened my product line and resolve to succeed. My company had a very prosperous 15 year run....at which time I sold out to a larger company that (supposedly) had better marketeing and manufacturing abilty. (yeah.....right

I was very well paid for my company and I am glad I sold it. The folks I sold to....sold again....and the product line is now sliced and diced between several others....some whom dont seem to do it as well as we did.
I'm happy........and officially retired.
