kubota 4200
I was looking for a Squealer in 6 foot but nobody has them on the lots around here. Last year they were sitting everywhere. I have a Kubota L4200 with 37 PTO and I'm torn between a 6 and 5 foot. It would be mowing trails and some rough stuff like fallen limbs and small 1-2 inch saplings. The 5 foot 285 series I really like also as it looks very tough. Anyone out there have a owners report on the 285?

Get the the 6 foot. I have a 5 foot squealer on a L2800 and it handles it fine. You could probably get a 7 foot cutter and be good. It seems like the general rule of thumb is 5 pto hp per foot of cutter width.

I am running a 5' behind a 24hp. I can barely tell it is back there, unless I get into some really thick fescue.

The 285 is a very stout mower and might be more then what you need for hea
ft. I would be looking at 7" and the squealer is offset and tows great.
