2010 Kubota B3030HSDC
I just got a formal quote from the local Kubota dealer that specs out the details for the B3030HSDC I'm looking to purchase. Initially, I'll just be getting the tractor (with the cab), a front loader, a mid-mount mower (60"), ballast box, and R4s. The snow blower will come at a later date when I've got a place to store it.

Would you experts take a look at the details of this invoice and let me know if there's anything that looks to be missing in the way of minor accessories, or whether you'd suggest upgrading to a better version of something? I'd really appreciate it. I don't know what I'll ultimately wish I would've asked for upfront that I didn't know about. By the way, they also mentioned they offer rear loaded tires at wholesale cost, which I'll probably go with after hearing all of the feedback in this thread. I'm just not sure what my options may be. I will say though that I'm impressed with the local dealer (Union Farm Equipment in Union, Maine) and think they're good, honest, helpful folks. They're also just 4 miles away.

Thanks guys,

Says LA 403 QA Loader ... make sue it has the Skid Steer QA Bucket. Probably does ... never hurts to check that.

I have a New Holland TC-29 D with an FEL and have loaded tires and for the first time in a couple of years I took the bush hog off the back and was using the FEL ---Yikes..even though I had the rear tires loaded I really noticed the difference in stability without the weight of the BH in the back..I would get the tires loaded at the dealer for sure if I were you. I hate to think what it would be like with no weight in the back and no loaded tires and trying to use the FEL...very dangerous for sure. The weight of my tractor and loaded tires does not seem to compact my lawn or injure it in any way. You can alway aerate your lawn if you see a problem.

I really like a set of at least two rear remotes

I am not all that familiar with the third function valve, but do you need to get it now?

On that size tractor, I think I wold be inclined to go with wheel weights as opposed to loaded tires as that will give you the option of cutting down on your weight for mowing.

I am sure someone who actually owns a 3030 can give you better advice.

Good luck and enjoy your tractor.

Skid steer quick attach isn't available in the B-series, at least not from Kubota. The quick attach used on this size tractor is only compatible with the two different kubota buckets and fork lift attachment.

I'm in the process of buying a B3300; this is correct, at least as far as I've been told. I had them order an ATI aftermarket kit, which has a quick connect bucket and hardware compatible w/ skid steer attachments.

It says loaders include bucket hook. While it is there get them to weld on two 3/8" grab hooks on the ends of the bucket, and make sure the one they give you in the center is a 3/8" grab hook. This size works with either 3/8" or 5/16" chain.

Good advice from CurlyDave. I have been using 3/8 grab hooks and they are OK down to 1/4" chain. I never had any trouble. I would suggest however that if you do buy chains of any length 5/16" is all you need for anything that tractor can do. The 3/8 gets very heavy and cumbersome to handle. I sometimes tie light, bulky items into the tractor bucket and the 3/8 hooks will take a good size rope too.

By the way. I buy everything from Union Farm Equipment and I'm very happy with them. I live about 1 1/2 hours from there and there is another dealer just 15 minutes from me. If I know I will need something for maintenance I just keep a list in my car and stop in when I'm in that area. Yes I even buy oil and all my filters from them.

Also ask is loaded tires are included with the purchase of the FEL. Having them loaded later will cost you about $250 give or take.
