Is air ride my solution?

I installed couple of these in my jet boat few years ago and am tempted to "borrow" one of them in order to try out in a mower!

(They cost $330 each at a local boating seat supply specialty shop at the time)

It's a mechanical suspension with heavy duty springs and shock absorber. The height is close to 8 inches which would not be an issue, once the Kubota seat suspension was removed.

These are working very well in my jet boat.

Question:

Have any of you tried this type of seat suspension in a mower?

it may sound ludicrous but consider getting a heavy duty wide strap on back support. strap it on tight. this will upright your posture and allow the back to properly accommodate the shock. drive slower. after all, the back itself is a type of shock absorber
have extensive feral hog damage. as mentioned, reducing air pressure helps. @ 71, fortunately i'm light enough for this not to be a problem. just hope the machinery can handle. i do understand, though, it does take it's toll on a lot of people.
best regards in finding that comfort zone.
