Massey Ferguson 231
Hi, my name is Joe and this is my first post. I recently purchased a 1993 Massey Ferguson 231. It runs great after having to rebuild the starter. The issue is that none of the lights work, the hazard switch and headlight switch were both broke off and some lights were burnt out. After getting new switches and some light bulbs I am having issues trying to chase wires. I bought a service manual for the tractor but the color wires in the wiring diagram are not matching what is coming out of the back of hazard switch and as that goes into a connector it looks as if that has been broke and put back together with electrical tape. Can anyone tell me or send me a picture of that specific connector? Thanks in advance.

Hi. Welcome. You can use an multi-meter to trace wires. Clip a lead on one end and the second to the other end of the wires till you get continuity. That will match up the wires.

Are you referring to the amber fender lights? They are very basic. It takes a flasher acquired from any auto parts wired inline to make the lights flash. Ground to frame. A simple pull to turn on and push to turn off. Did that on a 135 I restored. I didn't need any colored wires nor a wiring diagram. I'd put an inline fuse on the hot wire though.
