International 2424 rear axle

There are some unused mounting holes on the rear axle of my International 2424 tractor. Attached is an image of an axle that has been removed from this type of tractor (not mine). The yellow arrows point to the mounting holes in question. Does anybody know what these mounting holes are for? How much weight can these mounting holes carry? Note: on my tractor these holes are unused, they are not used to mount the axle.

IH 2424 IS A INDUSTRAIL MASHINE (YELLOW) and the FEL and back-ho mounts there ! Please correct my ?

I've got a similar axle with those holes on my IH354 (444 in Canada & the UK). I have no idea what the holes are for but I can say they have absolutely nothing to do with the IH1550 front end loader which has been attached to the tractor since my father bought it new in the early seventies. I doubt International Harvester ever intended to have a backhoe mounted to these tractors either.

Is your machine a n industrial machine ? A IH 2424 ? A yellow one ? With a subfram and a heavy wightbox to counter the wight of the FEL in front ?
