small & lighter than a full plate, but my guess not appropriate for tractor use as you don't want to be stressing only one side of the loader.

My first thought was that the position would be a straight on pull on one of the lifting arms which shouldn't be that bad.as I would hope a single arm would be able to handle your load.

Then I started thinking of the potential tilting of the skidsteer from all the tongue weight hitting one side, as well as driving and braking imbalance at the wheels which could be awkward.

So, yes, probably best for small trailers around the shop.`

I have one similar to what @ning posted. Its darned handy for spotting implements in a barn and moving light trailers. I would not sue it on a heavy trailer for fear it would bend the cross tube on the SSQA. However for light stuff its awesome. Its small and easy to store, I chained hitch pins to it so that they would not walk off on me. I think I paid $75 for it back in 2021. If I was moving heavy trailers I would use a full plate style trailer mover. However for light weight stuff like a 4 row planter, 12' drill, empty gravity feed wagons and rack wagons, it is much easier to spot them into place with this.
I can unload a trailer with pallet forks, disconnect the forks put this on, put the trailer away, then put this back in the cab and reattach the forks without having to drag a larger attachment along.

Bought one much like it maybe 15 years ago, after being disgusted by how poorly a bucket clamp-on style worked.

Wouldn't use it on the L3800, but it's fine on the M6040. Trailer weights within reason, of course.

I have a clamp-on thing but it really sucks. Strongly considering attempting to drill a hold in the end of a fork for a ball but think I'll just go for a plate-mounted hitch to keep distances shorter.
