The Duke engine is built in New Zealand
The Omega 1 engine from Astron Aerospace is built in Kansas USA and at least to me it seems like it would be much more trouble free but unless they actually hit the market so folks can start putting them to work I guess we will never know for sure.

I can't see it in the diagram but having the combustion chamber external to the rotors could address the rotary's biggest problem (once the tip seals were solved): a poor combustion chamber shape. A chamber that's the shape of a watermelon rind is inefficient and generates a lot of pollution.

Does the combustion pressure (BMEP) act only on a small projecting tab on the combustion rotor?

I must be missing something.
