Interesting Mower Idea

I have just been looking at used mower under the Toro Australia site, and there are Toro Greensmaster mowers for sale for between AU$1000-$2000 second hand. These mowers are selling for AU$20,000-$30,000 new. The reels would be pointless unless you had a perfect lawn, so as an idea why not replace the 3x reels with 3x single blade rotary decks? Great mower for less than AU$3000

There are also several of these on eBay US, one at the moment for approx US$100

I work at a golf course and we have two of these exact units (the 3250-Ds). I operate them quite often. They are really great mowers, but I don't think you'll be able to make them work with rotary cutters. The reels run hydraulicly, and you can get hydraulic rotary cutters, but I can't imagine how you'd attach them to the mower. There just isn't room, especially where the middle cutter is mounted (it is pretty much directly under the seat, between the three wheels).

However, it is an intriguing idea so if I'm missing something I'd be curious to see how such a conversion might work.
