Thinking about building a landplane. Not certain this project will happen, but I was wondering where you guys get your blades from? Plow edges are straight, but I often see these planes using a curved blade.

Our county still has alot or roads to grade and most of the time they don't flip the blade they just replace them . If I need one I call my commissioner and tell him and he will meet me at the substation and I will pick one out of the Pile . I just remind him I will get everyone I know to vote for him next time he runs .

I purchased mine when I went to pick up a unit another member had bought, and was having trouble getting delivered. I was going right past there, and they said anytime day or night I could pick it up, just let them know a couple hours in advance. I drove up about 1:30 am and they had it sitting on the forks of a forklift. I inquired about a spare set of blades "in case" I ever built one and they said $5 a foot, so I bought two. When I got back, the member made me a diagram, and I modified it to a larger size (mine is 7 foot wide). There were a lot of pictures posted, (eighty something)but being done with photobucket, I doubt they are still available.
