Interchanging Mott and Ford 917L flail blades

I got a recommendation to use the Alamo/Mott flails on my new to me 917 over in the big flail discussion and I ordered them from Messicks. Alamo 02986332 (COURSE CUT KNIFE ) should fit a regular 917 according to those that know more than I. I hope they work, because I ordered a whole set.

Mine is a 917L which means the flail is bolted directly to a lug in the rotor i.e. no loop or "hanger" or whatever they are called.

917 may or may not be the same design?

917 is different with a bar with mounting holes in it welded to the rotor. Flail knives hang on a D-ring & bracket to hold that to the bar.
