Other than the engine and rear wheel size, am I correct in assuming the Beaver III and Buck are exactly the same tractor? If so, there wouldn't be a problem putting the rear 18" wheels from the Buck onto the Beaver III, correct? Beaver III has OEM rear 16" wheels. Tractor has front wheel assist, so I am concerned about any possible problem with gear ratios not matching up correctly. Vvm.

I have a Buck and also the grey version of the Beaver III. Both are front assist and have the same size front tires. You should have no problem. They are pretty much the same exept the Buck has a larger engine.

Thanks for weighing in on this question. This is what I suspected, but didn't know if the Buck may have had slightly different gear sets than the Beaver III. Evidently the difference in rear wheel sizes between Buck and Beaver III isn't enough to cause any problems binding up with the front differential.

To be sure, measure the circumferences of both sets.
If they match, then you are OK.

Reason I say that is that not the rim size as much as outer tire 'rolling surface' is what counts.
The smaller rim may just have a much fatter tire but in fact cover the same distance as the bigger rim/tire.

They claim the fronts should 'lead' just a bit, ie slightly pull the rear.
