Fellows this is my first dive into any significant hydraulic work. I am posting this up as I progress from day to day. While I have the arrangement planned out and most of the parts on hand feel free to make any suggestions or comments that may help me or someone in the future.
The control valve is a 3 spool Vickers model CM11. I found it in a scrap yard purchased for about $4.
The 1/2” tubing also from the scrap yard. There is no indication of specification or grade of steel. The only reason I suspect they are suitable for use is the the fittings on each end. There were 11 pieces of tubing I found, all the same length and all with 3/4” JIC fittings on each end. The females are braised on.
I decided to use flat face quick connects. These are bulkhead style with 3/4” JIC ends.
The mounting brackets for the valve and couplers are custom made.
I spent the better part of a day studying the best way to arrange the components. This is what I came up with.
