Installing cruise control Mahindra 2538

Hi guys,

Just got the cruise control kit from Mahindra today for my 2538. And of course....no instructions on how to install it. I haven't crawled under the tractor yet, but wondered if any of you have installed cruise on your own machines and how much "fabrication" was involved.

Mine uses a big magnet for the pedal.

Any help would be most appreciated. If I have to take it to the dealer, he's 25 miles away (one way).

I just got the cruise control kit for my new L3901 HST. No fabrication needed and it came with directions. It's a bit of a process to do which involves removing one of the rear tires, fender and floorboard to install but for me it's completely a bolt on kit.

Any chance you still have the directions laying around? I searched everywhere on line, and couldn't find a thing on it.

Oh yea I still have the directions but it's a completely different make and model of tractor so I'm not sure they'd be of any help.

Your dealer should be able to provide you with the correct directions for the instal on your tractor.

Dealer did mine two months ago. This is a plug and play. Took 15 minutes top. Magnet part mounts on foot pedals in provided hole for the bolt. Dash panel has a peel off sticker with the hole for the new button already under it. Kit comes with new sticker for the button stating it has cc. Both plugs are sitting there waiting for you to plug into. I was amazed how easy it was

Thanks screamin400 !! You were absolutely right. Plug and play for the 2538 cruise control kit. However, the 15 minutes you quoted were actually 20. But I'm a guy who takes a 10 minute job, and turns it into 2 days...

Works great. Highly recommend it for those who have a lot of mowing, grading to do.
