I took off my oil pan for the 1st time to make sure everything was good with the motor. (I know they sound like a hammer) But being my 1st one I wanted to make sure the rod bearings were good no play.

It looked really clean and everything was good - ie no worn bearings.

I just wanted you guys to see how clean it was in there. I was amazed.

Even the lower portion of the sleeves look good.

Gee! That sure looks familiar :) Put that sucker back together and run her. I noticed the Kubota orage paint inside the engine when I rebuilt mine too.

Mine and now yours are the only ones that I have ever seen the inside of. Mine looked good down below too. Mine ran hot and had smoked the rings and pistons. I ended up replacing just about everything except for the main bearings. I wanted it to be right and not have to worry about it anymore. I believe the original problem was a blown head gasket. It was a supposed recon. I don't see any way that the head was ever taken off unless the put the old head gasket back on it.

I don't remember the size bolts they are but, according to the chart for mild steel bolts it for M5 is 2.2 to 2.9 ft lbs for M6 is 3.5 to 5.1 ft lbs, for M8 is 9 to 12 ft lbs, for M8 is 9 to 12 ft lbs
