I have a 2005 Mahindra 6000 with an inoperative hour meter. I've checked the connections at the instrument panel and looked at the wires connected to the alternator and don't see any obvious bad connections. I've read on some other models that when the hour meter is inop you have to replace the entire instrument panel. Hope this isn't the case with mine. Anyone out there have any experience/recommendations?

If it were me and it came down to replacing the whole gauge cluster ($$$) I would consider a aftermarket meter ($)

This one looks pretty cool, no wiring required, works off of vibration of engine, 8 year internal battery life.

HOUR METER, VIBRATION ACTIVATED
