Injector pump

If the injector pump is off the engine and the starter switch is engaged, (l185 kubota) is the pump timing compromised when it is reinstalled?

No. On that style of injection pumps that run of the lobes on a cam, the timing is set with shims.

No..Shims under the injection pump.. between the pump and it’s mounting block.
Just don’t throw them away.!!
Why did u remove the pump.?? Leaks.??
