1994 Ingersoll 4020
My son just got a 1994 Ingersoll 4020 for the snow blower, and mower. It only runs for 20 minutes and shuts off, no fire till it cools down. I figure it is the ignition module under the flywheel, how big a job is it to replace? His tractor has the engine reversed and it looks like you may have to take the engine out to do it.

To the forum from Alabama. Now is NOT the time for any snow handling equipment to act up for up there.

I've had the same issue in the past. It's most likely the coil. I've had to replace 2. Also check the voltage regulator to make sure it's putting out the proper voltage as this will cause the coil to go bad if overcharging. While it could the under the flywheel, I would start with the coil. Once the coil get's to operating temperature, it will not work properly if bad. If it were under the flywheel, I would expect it to either work, or not. But, anything can happen.
