info request on JD 44 trip plow

I'm looking at one of these plows and wondering about the trip mechanism on that thing. It's the gizmo in the photo on the inside of the left wheel axle (the wheel that runs on unplowed ground). One pull on the rope attached to the trip and the plow drops into the ground after the wheels make 1/2 revolution. Pull the rope again and the plow pops out of the ground after 1/2 wheel revolution

So anyone out there know the details on the innards of that trip mechanism?

I don't know whats inside the trip mechanism, but believe it would be
reasonable simple, looks a neat little plough.
