Info on my Ford 101 3 bottom plow

hi folks, hope some of you ford 101 experts can help...I bought this 3 16inch bottom plow, with shear bolts, for 400 dollars. There seems to be some orange/red paint on the back of the plows. It had new shins, shears, and just had the tail wheel replaced. no coulters. The other day, i tripped one of the feet and it went back around so far that it bypassed the one behind it, requiriong me to take the shear off the rear foot just to rotate the front one back to reset.

did I get a pretty good deal?

why the orange/red paint?

what colors did they come in? (JD GREEN? all colors? or just blue?)

should I have had to take a shear plum off to get clearance of the foot in front? this leads me to believe it was designed as 3 14s, not 3 16s.

Ford plows prior to the 1000 series tractor introduction were red.

Not sure exactly what you're describing as far as the tripped bottom not re-setting, but no, that's not normal. Post a picture if possible.
