Industrial strength dog crate

I built this for a french mastiff that a freind adopted

I am impressed, but wow, that is one heck of a crate. I have fedexed an elephant before (yes, true) and the crate was not nearly as built as yours. Something wrong with the dog?

Nothing wrong with him other than he already destroyed 2 crates from the pet store so the owner contracted me to overbuild it, so I did!

whoa, whoa, whoa! hold on a second here. That crate is pretty cool, but how in the world did the fedex conversation go. "Yes, hello this is fedex. How can I help you today?" woodlandfarms: "Ah, yes, I'd like to get a shipping quote please." Fedex: "Yes sir, what did you need to ship and where to?" woodlandfarms: "Ah..yea... How much to ship an elephant?" Fedex: ".....Sir, ....An ELEPHANT!!!???"

I don't want to take away from the crazy but amazing crate that the OP built but yes, there is a phone line you call that handles special items. That is the easy part. There are only a few elephants in the world that work the way the one we had did so fedex knew the animal, its owners, and it was easy peasy. It is getting the animal through quarantine in a timely manner that is really the issue. Government's (and rightly so) have some serious concerns about infectious diseases. They ship racing teams (Formula 1) via fedex all the time as well (I have done that a few times). Nope, its easy.

Kinda. But the crate we had the elephant in had nothing on the OP crate. Amazing build, don't want to meet the dog.

I never would have thought fedex did something like that. I mean odd shaped packages or something sure but that's a new one on me! I figured it was a special contractor company that would move large animals. but still cool. And OP, very cool crate too.
