I just read a thread about p.t.o.'s
I have a 1643 w/ indep. p.t.o. and I want to run the p.t.o. while not in the seat.
As soon as I leave the seat, It shuts the tractor down.
Other than placing something of weight in the seat, how to keep from shutting down ?
When I was a kid, and before safeties came into being. when we came upon a broke bale we just pulled up with the baler and hand fed the broken bale in. anyway guess I'll figure this out this weekend.

David, you have to bypass the seat safety switch. I had to do that to mine to run my generator. Disconnect the wiring harness going to the seat, put a jumper across the 2 connections in the plug going back to the tractor, and tape it up good.
