For a while they sold gas per 1/2 gallon because the pumps would only register up to .999!

I'm starting to think Canada planned ahead.
By the liter sounds better or perhaps some elected ones owned shares in gas firms and wished to prevent pump conversion costs from affecting their share values.

For sure it took a long time for us (me for sure) to be able to get a hand on actual gas consumption. (MPG vs Liters per 100 KMS)
$$ per KM or Mile is where it really counts!

That bug with the 'fresh' paint was sitting beside the road as I drove to work one morning in the mid '90s. I had my newly purchased digital camera with me, so I turned around and went back to take the photo. The spot where it was abandoned is a common dumpsite for illegal dumpers. Somebody found some old latex paint and applied it to the roof before I came along. I suspect the bug was stolen and the engine removed before hauling the carcass out and dumping it. The sad thing is the body looked good. By the time I drove home in the afternoon, it was gone. Either it was towed or somebody came along and took it.

my daughter and son inlaw have a 1967 that needs a new home maybe able to get it for a grand. it is in central Alabama

anything ai need to look out for other than the normal rotted out floor pans.. and rusted out front suspension.. brakes..e tc.

I've done SOME research.. have seenthe mroe rare split and oval rear windows.. wetc.

have seent he later mex units..e tc.

what's the deal witht he electromagnetic clutch I have read about? and early units are what? 4 spd.. vs 3spd later? 61+??
