And it would run on tap water.

Tractorhouse is a good place to search and get a rough idea on prices.

That seems pricey for a used 1100 hr / 30HP tractor. My Bobcat was $18,400 (in Canada where we are gouged to death) and included the deluxe suspension seat, quick attach bucket, block heater and slow moving vehicle sign.

I would move on and find a new machine for not much more than that.

Unfortunately I think the 7510 with 21hp is just a little underpowered for everything I plan to do (scraping, grading, brushhoging, mowing, plenty of backhoe work, tilling, raking, postholes, an anything else I can find to do with it!). Dad an I had a B1750 but it was stolen last year an since he didnt have it insured we had to eat the loss. One thing I did decide after the hours put on it though was that I wanted a little more tractor. Not too much as we have a case for the really big stuff but something I can throw on a trailer for more general stuff. I agree the prices are a little on the crazy side and most of the 30 hp tractors seem to be in the 12,000 range accept the B3030, (position control is important) with all its goodies and the cab and FEL seems to be "The B series tracor to have".. I have been looking for awhile at the B3030's an the tractors I have seen used are in the 18,500 to 20,000 range so I broke it down like this... FEL - 4,000 to 4,500 (the one I'm looking at has a new loader) Cab is about 4,000 to 4,400, so if we deduct 8,000 that means the tractor alone is around 8,500... seems like alot still and I dont really NEED the cab but from what I have read it seems like a good idea and would be nice since I plan to work this tractor as a small business. Hours dont worry me too much I can always do a motor swap down the road but I'd like to find a little better deal, then again I guess we all do  Am I asking for too much? Should I be looking at a different machine? I have looked at the b26 pretty close too but the inability to remove the loader and lack of mid pto are real downers in my mind... Any advice is appreciated!

P.S. I priced several new around here, Best price with cab and FEL was 24,000 new, tempting but then again 16,500 saves 7,500 for implements... hmmm

I don't understand why you would want to limit yourself to 37 million horsepower. 40 million sounds more useful.

I find that 40 million spins the earth the other way when you get on the gas. 38.5 is really your best bet.

Spaceshuttle engines developed 37 million horse power. I figured that was more than enough for any terrestrial use. I'd need more than that if I decided that I wanted to move Mars and Venus into better orbits and begin terraforming them. While I don't mind wearing a suit for inclement weather, including solar storms, I'd be inclined to get a tractor with a cab for that.

Sounds like a good deal to me. 150 hours is like new. Any idea of the condition, though?

38.5MM horsepowers
38.5MM torques

infinite traction
infinitely variable automatic center of gravity counter-balancing system

and most important:
mind reading implement self-generation

So if I drive up beside a skyscraper and decide I want to drill fence post holes all the way up the side of it, I just imagine a 6-story tall telescoping boom mounted post hole digger with a 12" hammer-drill masonry bit, and then it materializes.
