This is the correct filter for the gas 800 series Fords, the one you pictured I believe was used with diesels. What is wrong with yours? They are easy to repair or replace the mesh element inside of them if that is damaged.

The problem with mine is that I don't have one. When I go on the major parts sites it shows that part number is not compatible with a Ford 841.

Generally speaking there is no difference between any of the 800 series tractors with gas engines, all the differences are from the clutch back. So the C7NN9600J will probably fit just fine, might need to change to a different tube from the filter to the carb although the hose should flex enough to make the connection. Or just eliminate the tube entirely and replace it with a flex radiator hose, been done lots of times.

Several gas 841's @ TractorHouse: Pardon Our Interruption in salvage, one listed at the bottom has air filter setting on the seat. Doesn't mean it is still there/not sold, but only takes a phone call to find out.
