I've been struggling with the quality of cut from a 54in edge deck/ 2015 X500 for over two years. Stopped at Deere residential dealership (vs my ag dealer) to pick up some fluids this winter and got into a discussion with the counter guy. He suggested I try a blowout kit; checked the deck that came with my 4110 (it cuts grass great) and noticed that similar devices were installed on it. Attached pic shows the kit better than I can describe.
Cut grass twice with it, happy to report a significant improvement. A lot less uncut grass, specifically in the center and right hand blade areas where the problem was the most pronounced. Also appears to have improved the "sloping side hill corner" pronounced uneven cut I was seeing. Lawns is not at full thickness yet, and this might be a little premature, but pretty sure of the improvement.
Aware a few others were having similar issues, so this is a potential (approx. $75) avenue to pursue. As they say, your results may differ...
