We recently took a trip to the Estes Park area, Colorado. There was an outfitter in Estes Park the rents out UTV's and we rented three of them for three hours. The younger ones had Razor 600's I think and they gave me the 900. The told me I was the only one allowed to drive it, not the younger kids. I guess they have had people wrecking the more powerfull models. I'm 53 years old, I guess I look responsible. ;)

I'm not sure of the exact trails we were on but it took us up to Storm Mountain. It was nice since it was unguided, they just handed us a map and said be carefull. The trail was really hilly and rocky in most places but even on the very steep grades you could tell the thing would pull like a freight train. I only had a few places where I could floor it and it seemed very quick. It handled the rocks and hills good, the only thing is power steering would be nice. Maybe an option?

I've used 4 wheelers, mules, UTV's, Gators and such for my work but am no expert on them. I am a land surveyor and if I was looking, I'd look pretty hard at a Razor. I'd think I might wish the bed was a little bigger though.

A friend just traded his when it needed the THIRD fuel pump at $600 each. I know nothing more about them other than they seem to be more speed/fun machines than work machines. My firend commented several times that my Kubota RTV900 would be around and running long after the Razorwas reduced to scrap metal recycling.

BTW, he traded his Razon an a Kaw. Mule.

Yes, power steering is an option on the RZR 900's.

These machines are pretty much single purpose. To have fun! They are not work machines. A friend has an RZR 1000, and it's a real beast. Over a hundred HP, I believe the 900 is 88, and it will rip up some dirt!

If I could justify the cost for a toy the wife and I could enjoy once in a while, I would have one for sure. Maybe once the kids are little older. Until then, my Ranger 900 is plenty of fun.

I know... old thread, but I just had the pleasure of driving a new Razor offload in Peoria while visiting my SIL/BIL who recently moved there. So much fun! I was ready to buy until I found out they are street legal in Arizona but not in my county in Washington. Dang!!!
