Hmmm, not sure. Good point.

Let me call.

I'm trying to think of a situation where both arms operating indepently would be a plus. Probably exists, but I doubt it would come up often.

I bet there is some easy way to plumb them so the both work off the same remote, even if technically independent. You'd have to ask on the hydraulics section whether serial or parallel would be the way to go.

I was reading the specs on the Extream CDI and it said the two top arms operate independently. I assume that means you need a remote for each one. Is that wrong?

I'd be surprised if they were really independent. Sounds like someone trying to note the fact that there are two hydraulic rams. If they truly are independent that would be a huge PITA without any benefit I can think of.

Most (?all) double grapple set ups work with a single remote in ?parallel so that if one side clamps on to something solid the other side will continue to close until it hits something solid too. That is probably what they meant by independent.

OK, now I'm really jealous!

I have several dead trees to cut out of the fence line and I really don't want to have to cut them up into firewood size just to move out of the way. Then I need to remove the old woven wire fence that is half buried in the ground and all the brush the has over grown it. My grapple is still a few weeks away if I can even get it.

Well have fun with your new toy! :D Don't forget to post the manditory pics once you get into action :)

Well I am 110% happy with the grapple. I used it for 4 1/2 hours yesterday and OMG is it great to have. Here are a few shots of it in action.

Sad thing is I got a flat tire  which cut my work short. Man was I pissed!!!!!

Loaded it and took it to the tire shop where it stayed. Have to pick it up today.

Man, that is bad luck on your first day with a new tractor. I see you have Ag tires which are a bit more vulnerable than R4s. What caused the flat?

Setup looks great by the way.

Went to pickup the tractor and found out I did not cause the flat. Some bright person drop a vavle stem inside the tire and said screw it I am not getting that out. So it rubbed a hole in the tub. FUN!

Dealer is covering the repair. :D

Got it home and used it to move some more junk around. Good times!
