...In the beginning, there was a French company called CIMAF that was purchased by Denis Equipment, a forestry attachment company then well known for its stroke delimbers. Somewhere around 1989, Denis Equipment sold two drum-style brushcutters to the Canadian National Railway company (CN for short), to mount on a railway vegetation management machine. I have received pictures recently of that machine, which I understood is still being used today. Thanks to the CN to letting me post them here.

Very impressive piece of heavy machinery. When used, it most definitely left the sides of the tracks completely void of heavy vegetation. Do you have any specs in regards to the HP?

Seems to be on an RMC chasis like one of the old Brushcutters we have at CSX. Ive ran the one I have posted below it is run by a 6-V-53 detroit which is a meek 210hp and very loud and proud!
