Just an old barn to you is a dream barn to me. I have an old shed on my property and that's all. I'll get there but progress is slow

When building your barn... remember that is hard to build one too big... kind of like buying tractors. Usually better to err on the big side...

We have had both bluebirds and robins doing battle with themselves in our windows in the last few weeks. Y'all have now given me a good explanation why - the persimmons around here are just in the well-fermented stage!

When I lived down at lake Texoma occasionally a turkey would come up to the house in the spring and fight his reflection in the glass doors. It was amazing to watch.

Had a grouse fly out of the woods and put a good size dent in my truck door a few years back .

I had my doubts until I looked again; those are not the feet of a raptor. We don't have grouse here, at least that I am aware of, but I'm told they are finger lickin' good! Too bad you didn't identify the victim earlier, he could have ended up in the skillet!

One of the Aussie slang words for 'really good' is "grouse".

It's not used as much these days... we've got an overabundance of slang words.
