2011 Kubota L3800HST
Sorry for the long post.

I posted a few weeks ago about trying to buy a CK27 HST. I got denied for financing through Agri Credit. Tried to call them to find out why and got a rude lady on the phone and she wouldn't tell me anything. She said it was federal law that she couldn't discuss it over the phone. Ok fine, but she didn't have to be rude. Anyway I ended up with a used Kubota L3800. Not my first choice, but figured it would do what I needed it to for a few years at least.

Well today I went to my Kioti dealer to look at used implements. Got to talking with the dealer and come to find out the reason I didn't get approved with financing was because somehow when the application went through to Agri Credit the only thing that showed up on their end was only the tractor for $19500. The loader and implements didn't show up for some reason so they just denied it because the price was too much. They didn't bother to call the dealer about it or nothing. Only reason he found out was because after I got the Kubota, which I had told him about getting during another conversation later, out of curiosity he called them wondering why I didn't get approved. He was pissed. He called the supervisor raising **** that they didn't bother calling them about the price or anything and the supervisor agreed that the person working the loan should have because I have excellent credit and no reason for me to be denied. Reason for denial was strictly due to purchase price too high for tractor only.

So needless to say I was pissed today when I found out. I could have had what I wanted with the implements that I need. I'm not mad at my dealer, but just mad at the whole thing.

Sorry to hear that, bad lack of comminication with them.

I can only imagine how mad You are. Incompetent people in positions of that nature are a wort on the business world.

Was there some reason you couldn't meet with them to find out the problem or find another loan? If I was refused a loan I would have to know why and if it took a trip to the loan dept. I would be there.

Me, too!

Would have been quite a trip from Ga to Iowa. However if I were in that position I likely would have spoken with a "supervisor" in an attempt to find out how you, as the consumer could find out reason for denial.

I would also have contacted the dealer for more information.

I imagine you were hot to get a tractor and these things did not cross your mind.

Next go round step back, take a deep breath and ask questions.

I'm not faulting you. i too have been in the position were i just cannot wait.

Now if your heart is really set on a Kioti can you sell the L3800 and go Kioti? You may lose a few dollars but if you really want the Kioti...

May be worth it to get what you want.

FWIW

IMHO the Kioti dealer dropped the ball. He should have called Agri-Credit the day he got the denial, not after you purchased the Kubota. And was the loader and implements even listed on the contract when he submitted it? Agri Credit is in the business of making loans, denying people with good credit doesn't fit their business model.

More importantly, if a little "curiosity" prompted the dealer to call, why wouldn't the denial?

Bingo! If I'm a dealer and I have a customer who wants to purchase I sure as **** would try to find out why the deal (which is helping me financially) is not going through.

I have to agree - If I am trying to make the sale a quick follow up call may benefit both the buyer and myself....

Yeah I do somewhat fault the dealer for not calling after the denial, but I fault Agri Credit a little more. Especially after talking with the dealer about it. He's been using Agri Credit for years and never had them not call him if there was some problem with the application. When he told me I was denied he suggested I call them to see if there was something that could be done. They don't usually tell the dealer the reason for denial either. After I had called and I told him they said "federal law" prohibited them from discussing it I told him I would just try again on down the road a little. I've been dealing with this dealer for over a year. They're a small family dealer, but have been in business for over 20 years and I really like them. I had a boat that I had a loan on that I just sold about 3 weeks ago and the loan hadn't been paid yet so I kind of thought that it may have had something to do with not getting the loan. I figured I'd try again a few months down the road after the loan cleared off my credit report. But then I ran across the L3800 and thought it was a good deal. Which it was. Just not the deal I would have gotten. I'm going to talk to my dealer about trading in the Kubota, but I'm probably going to have to wait a while. What sucks is by then I'll probably have to get a tier 4 Kioti. Maybe by then though I can get something like a DK40 or comparable. So far I'm not too impressed with the lift capacity on the L3800 and I'd like to have something with better lift capacity.

Cletus:

After what you have been through you deserve a DK40 !

Trade in the Kubota. The dealer should work with you on this.

Don't look back. life is short.

Just do it !!

+1 on this line of action. Just take the L3800 and trade it for a DK40se. with KL401 loader. It will lift well over twice as much as the L3800.

Lately, I've been noticing either an increase in poor service quality which has generated more complaints like this.
I've been trying to straighten out an addressing problem with BC Hydro for 7 months now, and just received my first bill - WITH THE INCORRECT ADDRESS.
This after writing the CEO.

My point - what has happened to customer service? It sounds like the Agri-Credit's staff just didn't care. Are jobs that available that customers can be turned away?

I have had nothing but good service from Agri-Credit.
My approval came in 10 minutes.
My Wife calls and makes the payment by phone each month, the folks are polite and helpful, no problems at all.

I don't know how your deal happened, but maybe the dealer should have followed up on it...Unfortunate situation for sure.

Trade in that Kubota and get the tractor you want:)

What has happened to customer service? Employees make $10-$12 bucks an hour and don,t care.If they lose that job they can they just go get another one making the same wage.Pride and doing a good job is going down the drain in the USA with some folks.
