Hi,

I am new to the forum and 16 years old. I have been buying some mowing equipment for my summer mowing business and I have a problem.

I bought a Kubota T1400 with a GH400V engine about a month ago that needed a drive belt and a carb bowl gasket. Got them both replaced and tried it out. It turned over hard but it started. I ran it for about 15 minutes and it started running rough. I shut it down and I could not get it restarted until it cooled off. Any ideas?

Also, I suspect that the valves are out of adjustment and that might be causing the hard turnover. Does that sound reasonable? What is the valve setting supposed to be on the GH400V engine?

Thanks!

More likely to be a fuel issue I think.

Welcome to TBN and your new business.

Welcome to TBN!

Glad to hear that you're working to establish your own business! Bravo!

When my son bought his first car - I had him buy the technical repair manual and the part's manual (OEM) on eBay. Whenever, he had a question about wiring or belt replacement or valve settings - we looked it up together.

He learned (and I learned, too).

That said, I'd bet ya - if you dropped in at your Kubota dealer - and asked to talk with one of the shop guys - they'd be glad to give you some pointers! (They want your business and now that you're a business owner with Kubota equipment... well, they know you'll be comin' back!)

Best of luck.
