I'm looking for a suspension seat for my boomer 1030 new holland. I mow on farm land and it's not a golf course so the stock seat is killing my back. I was searching for a spring loaded seat and found this one on the northern tool web site https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200418191_200418191
Does anybody have the same problem. I don't want to raise it too high with an expensive air seat with a compressor and all of that, just a seat with a little spring in it.

I am very much in the same situation, though I'm far too frugal to spend hundreds on a suspension seat. I have found that using a chair cushion - the kind that goes on dining room chairs with non-slip on the bottom - helps quite a bit. My Kubota lawn tractor has a short-throw suspension seat that bottoms out quite a bit, and the cushion helps a lot there as well, with the added benefit of cutting down on some of the noise that comes up through my bones, even with my significant built in padding..

I know my little Boomer 1025 and rough ground is a bouncy ride and very slow going.
I have an AC 5050 that I mowed the pastures with and allot of that was standup driving and second gear. Not much give in those old tractor seats, almost like sitting on a steel pan seat.

Rutal King has a nice assortment of spring ride seat bases and seats. Just replaced the clapped out seat and suspension on my open station M9.

I find Northern to be overpriced on most stuff. Only use them in a pinch.

I bought the Big Boy Suspension Tractor Seat from northern tool and installed it. It's for a midsize tractor and my boomer is a compact but after pitching the bottom mounting plate and some grinding and welding I was able to mount it to the slides of the old seat. It sits a little high but it is spring loaded and and rides like you are sitting on a cloud. Too bad new holland does not make this a standard seat on everyone of their tractor...
