Hi y'all. One day, I'll get a tractor. I don't have a large use, just a handful of residences with little yard work and clean up when I make my little investments. I'm mostly in suburban areas. Still, I love diesel engines and leverage of all kinds. I'm sort of a big kid who likes toys.

The fundamental importance of TRACTOR WEIGHT eludes many tractor shoppers. Bare tractor weight is a tractor specification easily found in sales brochures and web sites, readily comparable across tractor brands and tractor models, new and used. Heavier tractor weight is more important for most tractor applications than increased tractor horsepower.

Thanks for telling me. I just made out a profile. Just bought an old IH454, my first tractor ever and just for fun. I hope I'll find things to do with it, but for now I'm just proud to have it and drive it around in our subdivision.

Now, I need to lurk and learn how to fix it and improve it and enjoy it more.

One thing I never had the pleasure of. Driving a tractor around the subdivision where I grew up and my Dad still lives. I have had DREAMS about it! He has a communal walk behind snowblower owned by him and several neighbors but that's about it for equipment.
