If mathematical ability in the general population is N(mu, sigma[SUP]2[/SUP]), he would have been at least mu + eight*sigma.

Note to Self

Stop embarrassing myself by trying to do calculations in my head.

It would take only 5.15 standard deviations from the mean to be in the top 1,000 out of a population of 7.5 billion.:(

I don't think those are concepts that we math idiots and rednecks were evolved to process. We just have to trust that someone can process them and that they are probably right most of the time but may occasionally make mistakes that we would neither catch nor understand. ;-)

"I've given up on Levis years ago. I like Carhartt, pricey but they last. Ebay for best price. You gotta watch the brass rivets though, they scratch the guitar.

I used to have to wear decent casual pants for work. My work involved mostly training Army enlisted with frequent trips to "the field". I always envied their cargo pants and finally about 2002 I switched to "Proppers".
They wore well, looked decent and I could fit an 11" laptop in the cargo pocket, which I frequently did.
My motto was that a computer was a great tool IF you could use it when needed. Then about 2014 the Proppers quality seemed to decline and they started wearing out in a year or so, usually only worn about three days a week during October through May, when I would switch to shorts.
So I switched to Duluth Firehose. Cargo pockets fit my netbook just fine.
I really like their Fire Hose Briar Pants (no cargo pockets :( ) for working around in the woods they really do resist brairs.

So much for Duluth. Their five pocket, USA made jeans are $84.

Well, the same version but imported is $50. Sigh.
But they are worth it if bought at 25% off.

I was happy with Wranglers UNTIL my wife FINALLY talked me into trying Duluth Firehose pants!!

Now I won't wear anything else, I just love the insulated pants in the winter, and the non insulated in the summer. All the pockets are REALLY nice for "us" that work outdoors and have uses for them.

Best part is, IF you are EVER unhappy with a pair, they will replace them! Even if they are torn or ? ...

So, I've not liked the way Levi's 550s were fitting me the last couple years. My wonderful physique probably has a lot to do with that. Recently the wife bought me a pair of 505s to try. Much better. I am pleased again.

Hmmm.. might have to give Levi's another round. Been a Carhartt jean guy the last few years because my lower half (and upper half for that matter) has morphed a bit.

I remember I bought this pair of Levis back in the late 80. They had some stretch to them and were pleated. Supposed to be a little more dressy. This Biker Dude was obviously amused and asked if my Old Lady Ironed my Jeans? I don't think I wore them again after that.

Com'n IT... that was a compliment.

I buy mine at Costco $25.00. Fit perfect and so dar I have 20 hard years on these pants. Bought them when my daughter was born, she's now 20 and I still wear them to work.
Luckily I bought them bigger than I needed back then they were loose, now not so loose I may have gained a few pounds.

Wife bought mine from Macy's online. Not sure what she paid for them. I used to get some at Academy.

. Never cared for Levi’s. Always preferred Wranglers. 936’s up until a few years ago and went to 13MWZ for a little looser fit. Dickie’s Carpenter duck pants are my work choice now. Cost about $20 a pair at Atwood’s.

I will have to try the Carharts. I wore Wranglers for years but never liked the short fly zippers and small pockets. They also never seemed to fit well.
I did like the price though... about 1/2 that of the Levi’s.

It’s funny I was just reading a arrival that shows Levi’s vs wrangler...

People who buy Levi’s are more apt to liberal views and politics. Wranglers sales lean more to the conservative person.

Advertisements for Levi’s is more trend setting and accepting of lets say changing world.

Wrangler advertisements is still geared to the average joe if you will.

Good one. My Mom would iron my jeans all thru High Shool, back in the 60s.

Levi's rise became to short and plumbers butt was not pretty. Finally, went to Duluth Trading Company for their "Ballroom Jeans". Much more comfy even if spendy.
