Funny, I was thinking about this all day. I just picked up a used 1 row cultivator for cheap and was thinking of doing a mod to add a couple of discs to make a bedder as well. I am not a welder (Yet) so mine will have to be a cut and bolt type. Also, I was just looking at some older threads showing adding on to the back of a 3pt tiller, that looks cool too. I shall stay tuned to what others think.

Here is a picture of mine. Just built it this winter. All home made but the hilling disks, they are from ASC

It was fresh fabricated in the pictures, it's red now to match what color the tractor should be;)

Here's my original. I needed the steel for a project during the winter, so I built Rev A. Includes a shank to draw a furrow at the same time the hill is drawn. I used the only u-bolts I had, hence the 2" spacer on the shank. The last picture was a test pass in the kitchen garden. Works great! Cost is under $100.00. Mark

Very innovative you guys! I like the concept of row prep w/o a tiller. You may be on to something there. I have some prototypes I have been testing too. Thank you for sharing!

Well, so far, so good. My cheapskate garden bedder is together. I will test it Thursday. It was Reasonably easy to drill through the angle iron. I messed up a bit with the alignment on the first one, but got the second fairly straight.

It came off my 13-2 Dearborn Cultivator. It's actually a 2 row cultivator, but I'm not working so many acres, I just use it as a one row. Sometimes I'll space the shanks evenly across the frame and use it to rip before discing. Mark
