One jobsite I was going to had 23 stoplights between here and there. At first I spent the whole commute punching it at every light, until I realized milage had gone from 28mpg to 15. After I calmed down a little I could hit just about every timed light, and I was back up to 28. Like having the boss come by and saying I'll give you a nice raise, just get your foot off the pedal, but few seem to think that way. There must be a frog in hot water analogy somehow, because in 2004 fuel prices here doubled almost overnight. Everybody noticed and all traffic crept around trying to save a buck. Otherwise costs creep in, no one notices, no one cares. Until it's plainly obvious.
