Hello I am hoping you chaps can help me with a problem I have with my 1987 case international 885L. I was grass cutting yesterday and noticed oil had come up out of the dipstick tube and running out the bottom of the cab. I checked the oil level and it appears a lot of oil has been lost.

I checked that none of the spools were in constant pump and will change the filter before I use it again. Is there any thing else I should look at or an obvious reason why this has happened?

The oil is not hytrans - been like that since I got it last year and I know its always been dealer serviced previously. I plan to change to hytrans with a new filter - can I just drain the oil and put the hytrans in or does the system need some kind of flushing?

Thanks in advance. Gavin

Maybe your 3pt lever is in the raised position and constantly relieving the fluid through the relief valve.
