ignition switch

the ignition switch on the Farm Pro 2420 i just purchased was bad. I have a new one on the way but am curious what the 4 places on the switch do? I understand OFF(H)HEAT,(ST)START but tunining the switch backwards is another ST? what does this do?

It's off, on, and start. Backwards is probably the glow plug position.

Try squirting some WD40 into the key slot. That often cleans the contacts and liquifies the lubricant inside that has probably dried up and prevents contact.
