If there are aliens, what will they look like?

Actually, the Moon is moving farther away from the Earth, as the tidal drag on the Earth is slowing it down in it's orbit, stealing energy from it, and that makes it move away from the Earth. Billions of years ago, the Moon was much closer to the Earth, but the tidal drag has caused it to recede to it's present orbit. So at some point, the Sun's gravity will be strong enough disturb it's orbit sufficiently to break free of the Earth's gravitational influence and flung somewhere else in the solar system.

The "cause and effect" in the above statement is flawed.

If the moon STOPPED it's motion, it would fall to the earth. Just as if the EARTH stopped it's orbiting motion, it would fall to the sun.

Gravity is an attraction, an orbit is continually missing the target!

If this were not the case, "abandoned" satellites etc. would "fall" away from the earth. and they do not.

The earth moon system as it relates to tidal induced velocities is that the earth is SLOWING it's rotation speed, and the MOON is gaining speed. That velocity increase to the moon, expands it's orbital radius. (pushes the moon out and away from the earth and increasing it's orbit path distance).

It is predicted that eventually, the earth rotation speed and the moons orbit around the earth will coincide.

But don't hold your breath waiting for the day. The aliens will have returned by then.

Triple I used a Foonly F1 computer to do some of the work for the movie Looker in 1981 and Tron in 1982.

Remember how crappy the graphics were in Tron compared to today's movies? That was state of the art in 1982, 13 years after the moon landing.

Here's the clip from Looker, 1981. The first realistic CGI human body. Again, 12 years after the moon landing.

A note, about 45 seconds into it, you see the hand. They reused that from the 1971 first motion capture, as it was so hard to recreate, even 10 years later.

At the time of the moon landings in 1969, there were no computers powerful enough or that had enough storage capable of rendering and storing the images. It would have taken years to render.

I have a nephew in the film industry. He's currently a special effects director for a major popular series. His job after college was rendering these types of things and he's been in the industry about 20 years. He laughs hard at anyone that thinks they had the technology in 1969, as do I.

I would guess the limitations are what led George Lucas to form Industrial Light and Magic.

Nasa from earth, the only one they got right was 17? he had to lead the launch by several seconds and move the camera remotely before the blast off. They had to science the .... out of it.

I thought the Ladies from UFO the series were Hot.

With the US military admitting things are flying in our airspace without transponders, moving and turning at speeds that would jellify a human inside without internal inertial dampening, At least one idea in the UFO series is undoubtedly in use now.

SID Space Intruder Detector the orbiting "Smart" Satellite scanning/tracking for unidentified craft approaching/leaving earth and of course the Electric/hydrogen cars and widespread use of computers.
