Thanks, I have suspicions that this is the filler hole, but I would appreciate confirmation. Also, I'm asking a hydraulic related question for safety in there as well.

My hunt club has a TO35 and the fill plug is exactly where you pointed out in the first photo. I happened to have a picture of our TO35 that I could zoom in on the transmission to really get a good look and you can see the nut made onto the top of the filler cap. I can email the pic if you want to see it.

Thanks Kebo But, I removed the hydraulic line and the component, and it became apparent, there were lots of pretty gears down there If it's not the transmission filling cap, it's close enough for me
