Ideas to dispose of land clearing waste

Man they wouldn't like it where I live. Loggers are required to burn slash piles here, we have wildfires every summer, controlled burns are a regular occurrence in the spring and fall and grain fields, hay fields and often lawns are burned every year. I burn my "lawn" (calling it a lawn is quite generous) in the spring.

That’s because, for now, you live in a state that has more freedom to do with your property as you please. Mine isn’t too bad, but each year, more rules and regs on freedom are put into place.

I always burn at first snow. An inner tube "accidentally" placed under the pile adds a lot of heat, but not too much smoke.

Times change. I'm 83 and my first job at age 16 was burning brush piles for my uncles tree service. Step 1, find an old tire....

If you don't need to use the land right away, and have extra dirt, you can always try the old method of laying the small logs and organics in rows, then covering them with dirt. They quickly break down, and make great planting rows for something. I can't remember the official term for it, but it's an old method of using up what you're trying to use up, develop new soil, and get some use planting in the meantime. If you lay them out in rough rows, then scoop up the soil between the rows to cover the organics with. Once the rows decompose and you have nice soil rows, then it can all be levelled. Great for gardens, sure. But burying logs causes pockets of trapped methane gas and eventually results in large sink holes
