Ideas for securing 20X35 metal carport awning

I'll be ordering a 20X36 "Carolina Carport" style carport soon.

It will be open sides and ends. I'll be installing it on dirt/gravel. I'm trying to decide the best way to secure it.

Should I go with the just standard 30" rebar anchors, standard anchors with 4 auger anchors (one on each corner), or concrete block "footings"?

I'll be storing our 5th wheel, truck, tractor, etc under it.

About the highest winds we ever get here are 30-35mpg...with an occasional gust to 50...but that's rare.

Just go with "Hurricane Anchors" like are used on mobile homes.

Augers if you can get them in. It well take more then 4.

I would go with the augers/anchors and not use the rebar pins. The amount of money you save buy using the rebar pins isn't worth the possibility of the carport moving or being lifted off the ground. Agrisupply has pretty cheap anchors.

I laid down 3/4" stone, had the Carolina Carport guys use the mobile home anchors. Very satisfied.
