Looks like a very long bed cab-forward pickup, like a larger version of those from long ago.

It looks like it might be a version of a Ford Transit chassis.

Looks to be a Mercedes Sprinter Chassis/ Truck Bed

Yep, definitely a Mercedes/Dodge/Freightliner Sprinter chassis with a typical open service body. Not very rare, but less common than the standard van versions of the same.

I think there was more of a lack of competition in that market and now I see people replacing cargo vans with transit vans ext. seems like there taller and longer which equals more general usefulness.

Was in a business that needed trucks about 15 tears ago. It was a Ford 3/4 ton van of some sort or a Freightliner if you needed something larger. Some different options were needed.
